How a modular jacket works

A 3-in-1 jacket consists of an outer shell and a detachable inner layer, such as a bomber, a vest or a fleece: they can be worn together, separately or as the shell alone. 4-, 5- and 7-in-1 versions add detachable sleeves or extra layers, multiplying the combinations. Modular bombers and pilot jackets have a shorter cut, convenient for drivers and anyone frequently climbing into vehicles. Standards: visibility, rain and cold

Almost all models are Class 3 to EN ISO 20471, the highest level. Many are certified to EN 343 for rain, in Class 3 or 4, and several also to EN 342, the standard for protection against cold in environments below -5 °C. Traffic versions, with a breathable shell, are designed for people working long hours on the road.
