In winter the days are short and many shifts start and finish in the dark: a hi-vis winter jacket must keep you warm and remain clearly visible to vehicle headlights.

EN 342 and EN 343: what they guarantee

EN 342 certifies garments for cold environments below -5 °C: it assesses thermal insulation and air permeability, meaning how well the fabric blocks the wind. The label and product page show the insulation value: the higher it is, the longer you can stay outdoors for the same activity. Many models are also EN 343, and therefore waterproof, in Class 3 or 4. For visibility, Class 3 to EN ISO 20471 prevails.

Parka, quilted or hybrid

• Parkas and long coats: they also cover the hips, for people standing still for long periods, for example on site security.
• Quilted: warm and light, comfortable under a shell or on their own on dry days.
• Hybrid: padded body and stretch panels for people who move around a lot.
• Bomber and Traffic: short or mid-length cut, practical for driving.

Women's models and alternatives
