EN 362 karabiners and hooks

A screwgate karabiner is closed by manually screwing the sleeve: it must be checked at every connection. A twist-lock karabiner locks automatically as soon as the gate closes and is quicker for frequent connections. Both are Class B, i.e. general purpose. The connector with scaffold hook (Class A) attaches to large-diameter tubes and structures; the Tower Hook is Class A and T.

EN 795 Type B and Type C anchors

The 2 m sling and the 1 m steel cable are transportable Type B anchors: they are wrapped around beams or structural members whose strength has been verified, avoiding sharp edges. The 20 m temporary horizontal lifeline is Type C: it is tensioned between two anchors and lets you move while staying connected. Number of users and fall clearance are given in the user information.

Fall protection PPE is Category III: Italian Legislative Decree 81/08 requires specific training and practical instruction for operators using it. Pair connectors with compatible fall arrest lanyards or self-retracting devices .
