Hi-vis coveralls and bib and brace: full-body protection
A coverall covers the body without exposing the waist when you bend, and stops dirt and water getting in between jacket and trousers. It is the preferred choice for people working on the ground, under vehicles or in manholes and trenches.
Coverall or bib and brace
A full coverall, with sleeves and legs, easily reaches Class 3 to EN ISO 20471 on its own. A bib and brace leaves the arms free, is cooler and is worn over a polo shirt or sweatshirt: it is usually Class 2 and is paired with a certified jacket when greater visibility is needed. Polycotton Service models are designed for everyday use in workshops and maintenance.
Waterproof and winter
Waterproof versions are certified to EN 343 in Class 3 or 4 and are suited to work in rain or spray. Winter coveralls and bib and brace are certified to EN 342 for protection against cold below -5 °C; if you work standing up in freezing conditions, also consider hi-vis winter jackets. One model has Type 2 knee pad pockets to EN 14404.
Size and fit
Choose the size allowing for the garments worn underneath, especially for winter and waterproof versions worn over the uniform. To protect only the legs from rain, hi-vis rain trousersare enough.
Domande frequenti
Why is a hi-vis coverall often Class 3?
Covering the torso, arms and legs, it exposes a large fluorescent area and more retroreflective tape, so it exceeds the Class 3 minimums more easily.
Is a bib and brace or hi-vis trousers better?
A bib and brace also protects the back and abdomen when you bend and stays in place without a belt. Trousers are quicker to take off and put on.
Are hi-vis waterproof coveralls breathable?
Some are: EN 343 also gives the breathability class, shown on the product page. PU-coated models are more waterproof but less breathable.
How can I see whether a coverall is available immediately?
The product page shows stock by size and colour in Milan and in the European warehouse. Items in stock in Milan ship within 24/48 working hours.
