Safety knives for warehousing and logistics

Opening boxes and cutting strapping and stretch film are among the most frequent causes of minor injuries in warehouses. Safety knives limit blade exposure and reduce accidental cuts to hands and legs.

Blade types: retractable, auto-retracting, concealed

With a retractable safety knife the operator extends and retracts the blade with the slider. With an auto-retracting knife the blade returns into the body as soon as it loses contact with the material, even if the slider is still pressed: the most prudent choice for anyone opening many parcels a day. The concealed blade cutter has the blade protected inside a guide and is suited to cutting strapping, film and tape. The Ultra model is designed for right-handed users.

Spares and correct use

A blunt blade needs more force and increases the risk of slipping: replace it as soon as cutting gets harder. Replacement blades in packs of 10 are compatible with the Ultra and Pro knives. Pair the knife with suitable cut-resistant gloves and a knife pocket for modular trousers, so it is not carried loose in a pocket. Other warehouse items are insafety equipment.
