Work socks: comfort and protection inside the shoe

The wrong sock causes rubbing, sweating and cold feet even in the best safety shoe. Choosing the right sock for the season and the working environment improves comfort and helps people wear their safety footwear properly.

Which sock for which use

• Cotton and recycled yarn: for everyday use in temperate environments.
• Thermal and merino wool: for winter sites, cold stores and outdoor work; there is also a version for extreme cold.
• Waterproof: a water barrier for people working on wet ground.
• Hiking: cushioning in the contact areas for people who walk a lot.

Flame-retardant antistatic socks

Two models in the Modaflame range are certified to EN ISO 14116, meaning they are made from limited flame spread materials, and to EN 1149 for antistatic properties. They are designed to complete the kit of people wearing flame-retardant clothing or working where electrostatic charges must be avoided; one version has a reinforced toe and heel.

How many pairs are needed

Allow at least one pair for each working day plus a spare stock: work socks are also available in packs of 3 pairs. Pair them with a cushioned insole and suitable safety shoes ; the full range is in work footwear.
