PU foam or reusable TPR

PU foam ear plugs are compressed, inserted and expand in the ear canal: they are disposable and provide a good seal. TPR ear plugs have flexible flanges, are inserted without rolling and can be washed and reused. Bell Comfort bell-shaped versions make insertion easier; low attenuation versions avoid overprotection where noise is moderate.

Banded, corded and detectable

Banded ear plugs go on and off quickly, useful for short, repeated exposure; a cord stops them getting lost. Detectable ear plugs contain an element that metal detectors can pick up and are designed for the food industry. 500-pair dispensers and refills keep plugs clean and to hand in the department.

Correct insertion
