Work shorts for the hot months

Work shorts help staff cope with the heat in warehouses, maintenance, light landscaping and indoor work. Compared with ordinary shorts they have tougher fabrics, reinforced seams and organised pockets for tools and phone.

When they can be worn

Bare legs are exposed to cuts, abrasions, splashes and heat: choose shorts only where the risk assessment and site rules allow. Where these risks exist, or staff often work kneeling, switch to full-length work trousers.

Holster pockets, cargo or stretch

Models with fixed or detachable holster pockets are designed for tradespeople and installers who want nails and screws always to hand. Combat and Action models have side thigh pockets, useful for phone and documents. Lightweight stretch models are the most comfortable for staff who climb ladders and get in and out of vans. There are also women's versions and fabrics suitable for industrial washing.

Combinations

Many shorts belong to the same ranges as full-length trousers and holster pocket trousers: the team can switch between short and long in the same colour, perhaps with a matching work polo shirt .
