Coordinated work jackets

This category mainly covers the work jacket as part of a uniform: in canvas or polycotton, two-tone or stretch, often available in the same range as trousers and bib and brace overalls. Alongside these are padded jackets, an anti-static lab jacket and some waterproof enhanced-visibility garments.

How to choose a work jacket

For workshops and maintenance, polycotton jackets are tough and easy to wash; industrial-wash versions are designed for teams whose uniforms go to a commercial laundry. Staff who move a lot prefer stretch jackets, while padded or sherpa fleece-lined models and the Pilot jacket with detachable sleeves are useful outdoors in spring and autumn.

Standards in this category

Some garments are certified to EN 343 against rain, in Class 3 or 4: the higher the class, the greater the water resistance. Others meet EN 342 for severe cold or EN 17353 for enhanced visibility in medium-risk situations. The lab jacket is anti-static to EN 1149-5 and EN 61340-5-1.
