What is the difference between S1P and S3 safety shoes?
Both have a toe cap and anti-penetration midsole; S3 adds an upper that resists water penetration and a cleated outsole, suited to construction sites and outdoor work.
What does S3S mean on safety shoes?
Under EN ISO 20345:2022 it indicates S3 footwear with a non-metallic PS-type anti-penetration midsole, tested with a thinner nail than the PL type.
Is a steel or composite toe cap better?
Both withstand a 200 joule impact. Composite is lighter, non-magnetic and transmits less cold; steel is less bulky for the same protection.
What is the difference between antistatic and ESD footwear?
Antistatic footwear dissipates the wearer's charges within a wide range; ESD footwear to EN 61340-5-1 has a narrower range, required in areas with sensitive electronic components.
How often should safety shoes be replaced?
When the sole is worn or coming away, the toe cap is exposed or deformed, the upper is torn, or after a significant impact on the toe. The frequency depends on use and environment.
Can I order shoes in different sizes for the whole team?
Yes, add the quantities for each size to your basket, checking stock on the product page; the order ships complete. For team supplies you can request a quote.
