Work hats and accessories for cold, rain and heat
Head and neck lose a lot of heat and are the first to suffer from rain and sun. In this category you will find thermal beanies, balaclavas, neck warmers, helmet liners, waterproof hats and a range of cooling accessories for summer.
Cold: with and without a helmet
Knitted or fleece beanies, the trapper hat with ear flaps and balaclavas protect when a helmet is not worn. If a helmet is mandatory, only thin garments designed for the purpose should go underneath, such as the stretch thermal helmet liner, checking that the fit remains correct. The tubular neck warmer and the head, neck and hand accessory set, in packs of 3, complete the winter kit.
Rain and heat
Waterproof caps and bucket hats, including hi-vis versions, keep off the rain without a hood. For summer there are baseball caps, sun caps with neck flap and cooling accessories: bandanas, headbands, scarves, wide-brim hats and helmet neck shades that you wet to cool down through evaporation. A work hijab with small peak is also available.
Apron for chemical splashes
The Flexatex Chem waterproof apron is certified to EN 13034 Type PB[6]: it protects part of the body from light splashes of liquid chemicals, not jets or immersion. To complete your cold-weather protection see ourthermal underwear and rain jackets.
Domande frequenti
Can I wear a beanie under a site safety helmet?
Only thin garments designed for this use, such as the stretch helmet liner, and checking that the helmet still fits properly. A thick beanie affects adjustment and reduces protection.
How do cooling accessories work?
You soak them in water, wring them out and put them on: evaporation of the water from the fabric draws away heat and gives relief for a while, then you can soak them again.
What does Type PB[6] mean on the chemical apron?
It indicates partial body protection against light splashes of liquid chemicals under EN 13034. It is not suitable for pressurised jets or immersion.
If I order only beanies and accessories, can I get free delivery?
Yes, if the order exceeds 150 € + VAT delivery is free, whatever the type of items.
