Ear defenders go on and off in a moment and are easy to check at a glance. In this category you will find 23 models: EN 352-1 headband ear defenders, EN 352-3 helmet-mounted ear defenders and a Bluetooth electronic model compliant with EN 352.

Low, medium or high attenuation

The HV Extreme range is available in three attenuation levels, with SNR shown on the product page: the choice depends on the noise measured in the risk assessment. Too much attenuation isolates the worker from alarms and colleagues. Ear defenders with a selectable dual SNR let you adapt protection to different tasks.

Headband, neckband, foldable or helmet-mounted

An over-the-head headband is the most common solution; a neckband leaves the top of the head free; foldable models take up little space in a pocket or kit bag. EN 352-3 helmet-mounted ear defenders, including a metal-free version, only provide the declared attenuation on the helmets listed in the user information. High-visibility versions make it obvious from a distance that the worker is protected.

Correct use

Spectacle arms, hair and thick helmet liners reduce the seal of the cushions. Replace the cushions when they are hardened or cracked. In hot environments or with continuous use consider ear plugs; see the whole hearing protectionsection.
