Long sleeve flame-retardant polo shirts
The flame-retardant polo is the base garment for work in environments with a flame or electric arc hazard: worn alone in the warmer months or under flame-retardant jackets and sweatshirts. All polos in this category are certified to EN ISO 11612, anti-static to EN 1149-5 and arc-rated to EN 61482 in Class APC 1.
Why long sleeves
In work with a flame or arc hazard, exposed skin is the most vulnerable point: long sleeves protect the arms and keep protection consistent with the rest of the uniform.
Available versions
- Plain anti-static polos, including with reflective tape and a women's version.
- Yellow or orange hi-vis polos in Class 3 or two-tone in Class 2 to EN ISO 20471.
- Models certified to EN 17353 for enhanced visibility in medium-risk situations.
Complete the kit with flame-retardant T-shirts as a base layer or flame-retardant sweatshirts for the colder months.
Domande frequenti
Why shouldn't an ordinary synthetic top be worn under flame-retardant garments?
Many common synthetic fibres can melt with heat and stick to the skin. Under flame-retardant clothing a layer of flame-retardant or natural fibres is preferable.
Is the flame-retardant polo arc-rated?
Yes, the polos in this category are certified to EN 61482 Class APC 1. For more severe exposure the risk assessment may require Class APC 2 garments.
Can a Class 3 hi-vis flame-retardant polo replace a jacket?
For visibility yes, if Class 3 is required; for thermal protection it depends on the standards required by the risk assessment.
Do flame-retardant polos qualify for free delivery?
Delivery is free on orders over 150 € + VAT, with dispatch within 24/48 working hours for items in stock in Milan.
