EN 361 fall arrest harnesses
The full body harness is the only body holding device permitted for arresting a fall. In this category you will find 12 items: EN 361 harnesses, models also compliant with EN 358 for work positioning, EN 1497 rescue versions, a model with EN 813 leg loops and a work positioning belt.
How many attachment points you need
A 1-point harness has a dorsal attachment, suitable for lanyards and self-retracting devices; a 2-point harness adds a sternal attachment, convenient for guided devices and ladders. 3 and 4-point models add further attachment points, for example for work positioning: the configuration is shown on the product page. An EN 358 work positioning belt does not arrest falls and must always be used together with a fall arrest system.
Comfort, size and adjustment
Comfort and Comfort Plus versions have padding that improves fit on long shifts; Ultra versions are suitable for users up to 140 kg. Adjust shoulder straps and leg loops over the clothing you will actually wear, including winter garments, leaving room for a flat hand between strap and body.
Fall protection PPE is Category III: Italian Legislative Decree 81/08 requires specific training and practical instruction for operators using it. Before each use check stitching, buckles and webbing. Complete the system with shock-absorbing lanyards or choose a ready-made fall arrest kit .
Domande frequenti
1-point or 2-point harness: which should I choose?
A 1-point harness has only the dorsal attachment; a 2-point adds the sternal attachment, useful with guided devices, ladders and rescue. For general site use the 2-point is often preferred.
How do you adjust a harness correctly?
Over your actual work clothes, tightening shoulder straps and leg loops until only a flat hand fits between strap and body; the dorsal attachment should sit between the shoulder blades.
How long does a fall arrest harness last?
The maximum service life is stated by the manufacturer in the user information; it must be inspected periodically and withdrawn immediately after arresting a fall or if damaged.
Are harnesses available in several sizes?
Sizes, availability in Milan and in the European warehouse and any next arrival date are shown on each model's product page.
