Disposable chemical coveralls and accessories
The coveralls and accessories in this category protect against dust and liquid chemicals; all are antistatic to EN 1149-5 and certified to at least EN 13034 Type 6. The choice starts from the form of the substance and the intensity of exposure.
Types of protection
- Type 6 (EN 13034): light splashes and small quantities of liquid; PB[6] for overshoes, overboots and oversleeves.
- Type 5 (EN ISO 13982): airborne solid particles, such as process dust.
- Type 4 and Type 3 (EN 14605): tight against heavy spray and liquid jets.
- EN 14126: barrier against biological agents; EN 1073-2: contamination by radioactive particles, not protection from radiation.
- EN ISO 14116: the flame-retardant disposable coverall uses limited flame spread materials; with index 1 it must be worn over flame-retardant clothing.
SMS or microporous?
SMS fabric is more breathable, suited to dust and light splashes on long shifts; microporous fabric provides a stronger barrier to liquids. Disposable coveralls are sold in packs of 50, accessories in packs of 150 or 200 pairs. To deal with spills, pair them with spill kits.

Which chemical coverall for spray painting?
A Type 5/6 coverall, which protects against particles and light splashes, is generally used; for heavy mist or large quantities you need a Type 4 coverall. Check the choice against the product safety data sheet.
What is the difference between a Type 3 and Type 4 coverall?
Under EN 14605, a Type 4 coverall is spray-tight and a Type 3 is tight against pressurised liquid jets, so it offers the higher protection of the two.
What are PB[6] overshoes for?
They protect footwear from light splashes of chemicals. PB means they protect only part of the body.
How many disposable coveralls are in a pack?
