EN 397 safety helmets
In this category you will find 21 safety helmets for construction, industry, building services and work at height. Almost all are certified to EN 397; some models are also EN 50365 insulating or compliant with EN 12492.
Vented or unvented, wheel ratchet or sliding
Vented helmets are cooler in hot months; electrical work requires unvented models, because vents are not compatible with EN 50365 electrical insulation up to 1000 V AC. Wheel ratchet adjustment fits the head in seconds, even with gloves on; sliding adjustment is simple and economical, suitable for anyone who rarely changes helmet.
Work at height and integrated visors
Height Endurance helmets, including the Mountaineer version, meet EN 12492: the chin strap retains the helmet during a fall and they are suited to scaffolding, towers and rope access. Models with an integrated visor provide face protection to EN 166 or EN ISO 16321; the full brim helmet shields from sun and rain.
Team issue
Many companies use different colours to distinguish roles: the product page shows availability by colour and the next arrival date. Complete the helmet with helmet accessories; where the only risk is knocks, consider bump caps.
Domande frequenti
Vented or unvented helmet?
A vented helmet is more comfortable in the heat; an unvented helmet is required when electrical insulation is needed, as with EN 50365 models.
What is the difference between wheel ratchet and sliding adjustment?
A wheel ratchet allows fine, quick adjustment even with gloves on; sliding adjustment is simpler and suits anyone who always uses the same helmet.
Does an integrated visor replace safety glasses?
It depends on the risk: the visor protects the face to the standard stated on the product page, but for some tasks the risk assessment also requires glasses.
Can I request a quote for an order of many helmets?
Yes, for large quantities or team issue you can send a quote request from the website; list prices are excl. VAT.
