Flame-retardant bib and brace overalls
A flame-retardant bib and brace covers legs, abdomen and chest in a single garment: it protects the waist area, which can be left exposed with a jacket and trousers when bending. All models are certified to EN ISO 11612 for heat and flame.
Standards to check
- EN ISO 11611: welding bib and braces in Class 1 or Class 2, including with reinforced seams or reflective tape.
- EN 61482: electric arc protection, in many models in Class APC 1.
- EN 1149-5 anti-static and EN 13034 Type 6 for light chemical splashes.
- EN ISO 20471 Class 2 and EN 17353 for visibility; EN 342 on the padded winter model.
Combinations
Over the bib and brace wear a flame-retardant jacket with the same certifications, or a long sleeve flame-retardant polo in the warmer months. Check your size with the chart on the product page, allowing for the layers you will wear underneath.
Domande frequenti
Is a bib and brace or flame-retardant trousers better?
A bib and brace also covers abdomen and chest and avoids gaps at the waist when bending; trousers are easier to put on and take off. Both must be paired with a flame-retardant upper garment.
Does the flame-retardant bib and brace protect against cold?
The padded winter model is also certified to EN 342 against cold. The other models do not have this certification.
Which EN ISO 11611 class is needed for MIG welding?
It depends on current, amount of spatter and working position: the most demanding work requires Class 2. The final choice should be made through the risk assessment.
Can I request a quote for flame-retardant bib and braces for the whole department?
