Grip gloves: secure grip for assembly and logistics
These are the most widely used gloves in warehousing, assembly and maintenance: a light knitted liner with a palm coating that improves grip and protects against abrasion. Almost all are certified to EN 388; some also to EN 407, EN 511 or suitable for food contact.
Which coating to choose
- Nitrile microfoam: absorbs light oil and maintains grip, breathable.
- Sandy or crinkle nitrile: for greasy or wet parts.
- PU: thin and sensitive, ideal for small parts and quality control.
- Latex and latex foam: high grip on smooth surfaces, to be avoided for people with allergies.
- PVC dots: economical grip for handling boxes.
Palm, three-quarter or full coating
Palm coating leaves the back breathable; three-quarter coating also protects the knuckles from dirt; full coating makes the glove liquid-proof. Aqua models are designed for wet environments, while touchscreen models let you use handheld devices and terminals without taking off the glove.
Managing consumption
These gloves are replaced frequently: many models are available in packs of 12 pairs to organise weekly replacement. For multi-purpose gloves in large packs see general handling gloves; where there are sharp edges you need cut-resistant gloves. Go back to work gloves for the full range.
Domande frequenti
What is the difference between palm, three-quarter and full coating?
Palm coating leaves the back breathable, three-quarter coating also covers the knuckles, and full coating makes the glove liquid-proof but less breathable.
For greasy parts, is nitrile or latex better?
Nitrile grips better on oily surfaces, especially sandy or microfoam nitrile. Latex offers excellent grip on dry surfaces or surfaces wet with water.
Do touchscreen gloves work with all terminals?
They are designed for capacitive screens such as smartphones, tablets and warehouse handhelds; with resistive or very old screens the response may be reduced.
Can grip gloves be bought in packs?
Yes, many models are available in packs of 12 pairs. Shipping is free on orders over €150 + VAT.
