Choosing capacity and format

For a daily change of clothes and PPE, a 35 to 60 litre bag is generally enough; for trips away, or if you also carry a winter jacket, boots and helmet, a 70 litre holdall or a trolley is the better choice. Holdall models have a side pocket for boots or helmet that keeps dirt away from everything else, or an ID badge holder for quick identification. For tools there is the open tool bag and the tool trolley backpack, while the rope bag backpack is designed for work at height.

Waterproof and high visibility

PVC models and the Dry Bag backpack are waterproof, suitable for work in the rain or damp environments; those described as water-resistant protect against splashes and light rain. Backpacks and bags in high-visibility colours help you be seen, but do not replace certified garments.
