Work sweatshirts and fleeces for the mid layer
The work sweatshirt is the garment worn most often from autumn to spring: over a T-shirt in the workshop, under a jacket on site. In this category you will find crew-neck, hooded, full-zip and half-zip sweatshirts, lightweight technical tops and fleeces, including women's fits and recycled-material versions.
Hood, zip or crew neck
The crew neck is the most practical under jackets and gilets. A full zip lets you regulate warmth without taking the sweatshirt off, while a half zip gives the neck better protection. A hood shields against wind and drizzle but must be kept down when wearing a safety helmet. Technical sweatshirts dry faster and stay lighter, cotton ones are softer and more breathable; the jumper with shoulder and elbow reinforcements resists abrasion from loads and rucksacks.
Certified versions
Anti-static ESD sweatshirts are certified to EN 1149-5 and EN 61340-5-1, for electronics departments and areas where electrostatic charges must be dissipated. One fleece is certified to EN 14058, the standard for cool environments, and one model meets EN 17353 for enhanced visibility, useful in low-traffic yards.
Team combinations
For a coordinated uniform, pair sweatshirts with work polo shirts from the same range. If you need warmer or windproof fleeces for winter, see our cold-weather work fleeces.
Domande frequenti
Can I wear the sweatshirt hood under a safety helmet?
No, a hood under the helmet affects its fit and stability. If you work with a helmet keep the hood down or choose a crew-neck or high-neck sweatshirt.
Technical or cotton sweatshirt: which is better for work?
A technical sweatshirt is lighter, dries quickly and suits people who move a lot; a cotton one is softer and more breathable, ideal indoors and for everyday wear.
Can the enhanced-visibility fleece replace a hi-vis garment?
No, EN 17353 covers medium-risk situations. Where certified hi-vis garments are required, for example near busy roads, you need hi-vis clothing.
How do I check there are enough sweatshirts in each size for my team?
Each product page shows stock by size and colour, in Milan and in our European warehouse. For large quantities you can also request a quote on the website.
